Lilla's by Ugglebo - Children's Clogs
The first time I saw a pair of children's clogs, they were sitting on a rack in the clog factory waiting to be shipped. Those little perfect clogs, just waiting for a pair of little, perfect feet, made me melt. Though I was still years from being a father, and in the early throes of love, I started to imagine a future Giese baby with those perfect little clogs.
My daughter received her first pair of clogs from Grandpa when she was just a couple of weeks old. Like all new fathers, I was smitten by her little round feet swaddled in those mite size clogs. As my daughter grew into a precocious tot, she became fascinated with her clogs. I was tickled pink as I watched her try to put them on for 15 minutes at a time, a look of toddler concentration etched on her brow. I couldn't help but laugh at her attempts as I soothed her petite frustration with "oh elskling" (Swedish for "oh honey").
