PRODUCT INFORMATIONSizing and Size ChartPlease review our size chart in order to find your appropriate clog size. Heel HeightsLow Heel: 1.8" or 4.5 cm Mid Heel: 2.65" or 6.5 cm High Heel: 3.9" or 10 cm GeneralHere at Ugglebo Clogs, all our clogs are crafted by hand and each pair is unique with its own characteristics. This is the beauty and magic with custom-made clogs. In the same way that our clogs are unique, your feet are, and we want the two of them to be a perfect match, right away. Therefore, there are a few things we think you should have in mind when purchasing your pair of Ugglebo Clogs, to make your pair perfect for your feet. • Clogs are designed to allow your heel to "slip" when you walk, even if you have a closed back clog. It generally takes a couple of weeks to get used to your new clogs. • We recommend wearing them for no more than a couple of hours a day for the first week, and a half day for the next week, so that your body and clogs will adjust to each other. Give your clogs some time. • All the bases that we use are made of wood; a beautiful and natural material that will make your feet happy. Keep in mind that wood is a rigid material and therefore it will not stretch or bend. The bottom of the base is covered with a thin rubber sole – not only does it protect the wood; it also increases your foothold and prevents you from slipping. • Sizing can, and most likely will vary between different styles, e.g. a high vs. low heel, or a boot vs. a sandal clog. Therefore, we recommend that you carefully read through the size chart (link to size chart!) before your purchase. LeathersAt Ugglebo Clogs we carefully select all of our materials by hand, and we use only the finest leathers to craft our clogs. Currently, we have seven types of leather in our collections. The different types of leather have a distinct look and feel, which gives each leather a unique texture and color. Traditional Leather Traditional leather has a smooth finish and during production a thin foil is baked on the upper surface in order to protect the leather, which makes it easy to care for. Traditional leather prevents moisture from probing while continuing to allow you feet to breath easily. Nubuc Leather Nubuc leather is oiled snuffed suede. The oiling process is what gives the nubuc its characteristic look and feel. Similar to suede, nubuc leather has a distinct texture. It is soft, supple and velvety to the touch. Patent Leather Patent leather is easily recognized by its remarkable shine and high gloss finish. With a colored foil baked on the leather, it makes the surface incredibly smooth. Suede Leather Suede has a distinctive look and feel with a soft and dry texture. Its smooth napped finish gives suede an almost velvet-like surface. Vegetable Tan Leather Vegetable tanned leather is made in a natural process, which uses tree bark, vegetables and fruits during tanning and doesn’t contain any chrome, like the other types of leathers. Vegetable tan leather has a distinctive texture and a delicate high-fashion look and feel. Fun Pattern Leather Fun leather has a colored foiled baked on the upper surface just like in traditional and patent leathers. Fun leathers have ornate patterns and a smooth and shiny finish. Shearling Leather Shearling leather is sheep leather with a smooth suede surface on one side and soft pelt on the other. The inside pelt will keep you feet warm in all weather while the suede conveys a fashionable look. |
LEATHER CARECare for your ClogsLeather is a natural material that needs to be treated with care so that you can get the most out of your clogs. After regular wear, the leather will become even smoother and embody its own unique appearance and characteristics. Traditional, Patent and Fun Leather These leathers have a foil baked on the upper surfaces; this means that you should not need to use any leather treatments on these leathers. When necessary, clean with a damp rag. Nubuc, Suede and Shearling Leather A variety of leather care products can be used to treat and preserve nubuc leather. Nubuc leather already has been oiled so you shouldn’t need to add any oil in the near future, but use of water repellants and other treatments helps to preserve the material. To care for nubuc, brush with a stiff clean brush. Vegetable Tan Leathers Nature Vegetable Tan Leathers: Nature Vegetable Tan leather will, when being exposed to sunlight for several hours, turn noticeably darker. As it becomes darker it becomes more resilient but still remains sensitive. Do not use any cleaning or leather care products on your nature vegetable tan leather. It could stain and damage the leather. Colored Vegetable Tan Leathers: These leathers can be polished with traditional shoe polish or cleaned with any common shoe cleaner. METAL ACCESSORIESAccessories cover a wide range of procedures in the clog making process. At Ugglebo Clogs we use different types of metal materials such as buckles, staples, nailheads and rivets. To attach the leather to the wooden base, either nailheads or staples are used. CAUTION: When in direct contact with skin, nickle can cause an allergic reaction. If you are sensitive to nickle or have further questions, please consult us before your purchase. BASESOur long-lasting and environmentally friendly wooden bases are made of either Swedish alder or Spanish pine. Not only is wood a fashionable and beautiful material, it is also purposeful; wood absorbs moisture from your feet while providing superior support for your foot-arch, knees and back. |
